“You are provided from the outset with the opportunity and time to learn the procedures. After the six-month introductory phase, you are given new tasks, looking after the equipment, processing documents, etc. This is also a time for learning more about the production environment and the products themselves.”
“It is interesting to make different products over the course of the year. The beginning is particularly fascinating, when everything starts up and then, through the different processes, the product volume increases until the final packaging. During this time, there is always the thrilling uncertainty as we check that everything is working as it should.”
“The practicalities of technical processing are particularly interesting. Because of the different products and manufacturing campaigns and the resultant diversity, shiftwork at BI is always a fascinating challenge. After a certain time, you have the chance to further develop and take on new responsibilities. After just over a year, I’m now involved in change management, starting out as a line manager and planning campaigns within the department.”
